Fine artists, music, and more will celebrate the arts.

Local fine artists of all mediums will be featured on March 22, at Hampstead Kiwanis Park. This is the first time the Greater Topsail Area Chamber of Commerce & Tourism is teaming up with the area’s premier gallery, ArtExposure, the Greater Topsail Arts Association, and Pender County Parks and Recreation for a day of celebrating the arts.

“Pender County is celebrating its 150th anniversary, and we want to celebrate the arts in Pender County with an exhibition of fine art and performances from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.” says Tammy Proctor, director of the Greater Topsail Area Chamber of Commerce & Tourism.

Shoreline Party Rentals is the premier sponsor of the first Art in the Park.

Untitled Theatre Productions will perform scenes from their upcoming musical, Shrek, at 2:30 p.m.

“This is an opportunity to spotlight our local talented artists,” added Proctor.

Admission is free. The event will also feature various local food trucks.

Art in the Park will be a family-friendly event.

“Hampstead Kiwanis Park is an ideal venue for this event as it offers picnic shelters, playgrounds for children, and ample parking for event visitors,” said Zach White, Pender County Parks and Recreation director.

Artists may apply for consideration by contacting ArtExposure at 910-803-0302 or via the website at www.artexposure50.com. ArtExposure is located at 22527 Hwy 17 in Hampstead.
