Calling all homeowners, businesses, contractors and vacationers - Lori’s Ace Home & Hardware will open on Tuesday, March 25, 2025.
The store is located at 14021 NC-50 in Surf City. The hours of operation will be Monday through Saturday, 8 a.m.-7 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
The Grand Opening will be April 11-13, with a ribbon cutting at 5 p.m. on Friday, April 11. There will be giveaways each day of the Grand Opening. On Saturday, April 12, customers can sample BBQ and sauces with award-winning Vicious Pig BBQ pitmaster Bobby Brinson, and meet representatives from Stihl, Big Green Egg, Ego, Evergreen, Duke Children’s Hospital and more.
Lori’s Ace not only offers products in familiar categories such as paint, grilling, outdoor power, electrical, plumbing and hardware, but also a vast selection of home and garden décor, gifts, lawn and garden supplies, kitchen and bath accessories, wild bird food and feeders, pool supplies, cleaning supplies, games/puzzles, snacks, and live plants in the Garden Center.

Everything from the music played overhead to the unique products we carry to the cleanliness of the store comes together to create a welcoming environment,” said Lori Tracy Stobbe, president and co-owner of Lori’s Ace Home & Hardware. “But the most common feedback we get is how friendly and helpful the employees are. We’re excited to introduce this new Lori’s Ace team to you, and they are eager to start helping customers and the community.”
This is the second Ace store for owners Lori Tracy Stobbe and Nate Stobbe. Their first store is in Fayetteville and recently received the 2025 Local Franchise of the Year award from the Greater Fayetteville Chamber of Commerce for demonstrating dedication to charitable contributions in the community, exceptional customer service, innovation and leadership in the industry.
